LAS VEGAS, NV [November 13] — The Invisible Enemy (TIE) is honored to announce that it has been selected as the 2026 community project by the Leadership Henderson Class of 2026, the signature leadership development program of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Each year, Leadership Henderson participants select one nonprofit organization to support through a nine-month community project. This partnership gives class members the opportunity to apply their leadership skills while making a lasting impact across Southern Nevada.

“We are deeply honored that Leadership Henderson has chosen to stand with us,” said Dave Crete, Founder and Chairman of The Board of The Invisible Enemy. “Their commitment to leadership and community aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure that those who served on the Nevada Test and Training Range are never forgotten. Together, we’ll amplify awareness, strengthen advocacy, and complete a powerful film that tells the story of these veterans’ invisible battle.”

Founded by Air Force Sergeant Dave Crete, The Invisible Enemy advocates for thousands of U.S. military personnel, veterans, and families who served on the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) and suffered or died due to toxic exposure from decades of nuclear testing and hazardous material contamination. The nonprofit leads national efforts to secure federal recognition, healthcare, and compensation for those affected.

The partnership with Leadership Henderson will help The Invisible Enemy raise funds and awareness to complete its full-length documentary, The Invisible Enemy: Hidden Sacrifice, which tells the true story of NTTR veterans and their families. Scheduled for release in Spring 2026, the film will serve as both a national awareness campaign and a call to action for legislative justice.

As part of this effort, Leadership Henderson will assist in the development of TIE’s first annual fundraising event, timed to coincide with the film’s premiere. The event will serve as a catalyst for future donor engagement and sustained funding for TIE’s ongoing advocacy and veteran support programs.

“We are proud that this year’s Leadership Henderson class has chosen to support The Invisible Enemy,” said Scott Muelrath, President & CEO of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. “Their mission brings attention to an important and often overlooked chapter in Nevada’s military history. It is inspiring to see emerging leaders come together to amplify the voices of those who served and sacrificed.”

The Invisible Enemy reflects the kind of mission this year’s class felt strongly about supporting,” added Cay Mateyko, Leadership Henderson Director. “It is a powerful cause with deep local roots and a need for greater awareness. With renewed attention on Nevada’s nuclear testing history, the project is both timely and meaningful, giving our participants a valuable opportunity to grow as leaders while helping amplify the stories of those affected.”

The partnership comes at a pivotal time, as conversations about Nevada’s nuclear testing legacy and its human cost are once again entering the national spotlight. Together, The Invisible Enemy and Leadership Henderson will use storytelling, advocacy, and community engagement to honor the fallen, empower survivors, and inspire action.

About The Invisible Enemy
Our mission is to enact legislation that guarantees comprehensive medical treatment and just financial compensation for military personnel, DoD employees and DoD contractors who were exposed to hazardous environmental contamination while working at the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). U.S. Representative Mark Amodei (R-NV) is leading an initiative to write new federal legislation that guarantees medical treatment and financial compensation to all military personnel who suffered illnesses from exposure to toxic radiation and materials released by nuclear testing on the NTTR.

Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) introduced S. 2220 – The Forgotten Act which is co-sponsored by Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and would classify the NTTR as contaminated and require the DoD to document all NTTR exposures in each service member’s Individual Longitudinal Exposure Record (health records) so they can be seen by the VA when service members transition to civilian life.

The Invisible Enemy, a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, EIN # 92-3486613, is actively raising funds to support our efforts to enact this legislation and help all veterans who have been injured by nuclear exposure in the line of duty.
